Emily embarked on her academic journey at the University of Wyoming, where she delved into English and accounting, a blend of disciplines that foreshadowed her versatile career path.

Before joining Advanced Energy, Emily amassed a significant amount of experience in both finance and human resources across a variety of roles and organizations. She notably served as the Director of Finance and Human Resources at Carolina Friends School in Durham, North Carolina. Her journey also includes impactful tenures as Chief Operations Officer and Director of Finance at Tucson Hebrew Academy in Arizona, Director of Finance and Administration at the Maine Technology Institute, and Principal Financial Officer at the Portland Police Department in Maine. In these roles, Emily exhibited a profound ability to integrate accounting, human resources, and administration while fostering meaningful interactions and coordination among team members.

Emily’s decision to join Advanced Energy was influenced by her passion for science and technology and a desire to continue her career within the nonprofit sector. The opportunity presented by Advanced Energy appealed to her eagerness to learn and engage with new subject matter, building on her extensive background while navigating the unique challenges and opportunities in the energy consulting field.

Since starting her position last month, Emily is focused on comprehensively understanding Advanced Energy’s operations and aligning her skills with the organization’s mission and vision. Her goal is to effectively support staff and processes, enhancing team dynamics and operational efficiency across the company.
