Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2025 — Omkar Prasad has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Schneider Electric, marking a significant leadership transition within the organization. With over two decades of financial leadership, Omkar has played a central role in shaping Schneider Electric Greater India’s finance strategy, governance, and transformation initiatives.
Most recently serving as Director Finance & Chief Accounting Officer, he spearheaded the implementation of IFRS and Ind AS standards, strengthened compliance mechanisms, and successfully led mergers, acquisitions, and large-scale transformation projects. His contributions have reinforced Schneider Electric’s governance framework and financial integrity across India and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Omkar’s journey at Schneider Electric includes roles as Chief Accounting Officer and Head of Accounting, Reporting & Consolidation, where he built high-performing finance teams and drove strategic initiatives aligning financial rigor with business growth. His expertise spans controllership, compliance, financial structuring, and organizational transformation, positioning him as a trusted advisor within the company.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Omkar worked with Coats for over seven years, where he held leadership roles as Finance Manager and Plant Controller, managing corporate accounts, profit and loss oversight, and unit operations across Bengaluru and Ankleshwar. He is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).
As CFO, Omkar will focus on strengthening governance, driving financial excellence, and enabling Schneider Electric’s innovation and sustainability agenda—reinforcing the company’s leadership in the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
