Seattle, Washington, United States, September 2025 — Dan Russell has been appointed as Head of Talent Acquisition, Amazon Health Services at Amazon. In this role, he leads an 80+ person recruiting organization spanning technology, product, analytics, clinical, marketing, and operations, supporting Amazon’s mission to make it dramatically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with everything they need to get healthy. His remit includes overseeing talent acquisition for Amazon One Medical and Amazon Pharmacy.
Dan has built a remarkable 10-year career at Amazon, advancing through progressively senior recruiting leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Manager, Recruiting – Finance & Global Business Services, where he drove global hiring strategies and operational excellence. Prior to that, he was Senior Manager, Recruiting Operations – Demand, Capacity & Cost Per Hire, optimizing recruiting operations and efficiency worldwide.
Earlier, he served as Senior Manager, Recruiting – Worldwide Operations, where he supported Amazon’s vast logistics and supply chain workforce expansion. Before that, he held leadership roles as Manager, Talent Acquisition – Latin America, and Manager, Talent Acquisition – Military, where he built programs supporting both regional and veteran-focused hiring. Dan also contributed as Manager and Recruiter for Finance & HR, shaping talent pipelines across corporate functions.
Before joining Amazon, Dan worked as a Recruiter at Vertafore and iMatch Technical Services, gaining early experience in technical and corporate recruiting. He began his professional career at KPMG as an Associate, developing a strong business foundation before transitioning into recruitment.
