Benoy Sheth Elevated to Director – HR Head India, Citi Solution Centres and Cluster Lead for Asia South Labor Relations at Citi

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Citi has announced the elevation of Benoy Sheth to Director – HR Head India, Citi Solution Centres and Cluster Lead for Asia South Labor Relations. In this expanded leadership role, Benoy will lead Citi’s HR strategy and operations across its India Global Capability Centres (GCCs) while overseeing labor relations across multiple Asia South countries, including Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Vietnam.

With over 15 years of diverse HR experience, Benoy brings extensive expertise in people strategy, employee engagement, and regional workforce management. His appointment reflects Citi’s continued focus on building a high-performing, inclusive culture and aligning its human capital priorities with sustainable business growth.

During his seven-year tenure at Citi, Benoy has been a pivotal part of the organization’s transformation journey. As Senior Vice President – Total Rewards, he managed compensation and benefits for over 41 countries and 60,000 employees across the East geography. His leadership in building the Benefits Hub in Mumbai has driven efficiencies, governance, and standardization across the APAC region. Benoy also played a key role in managing pension transitions across multiple countries and leading governance initiatives that enhanced compliance and fiscal control globally.

Before joining Citi, Benoy held HR leadership roles at SUN PHARMA, NIVEA INDIA, and Infosys, where he contributed significantly to compensation strategy, talent development, and organizational transformation. His cross-industry exposure across pharmaceuticals, FMCG, and technology sectors adds valuable perspective to his regional leadership responsibilities.

An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), where he earned his Master’s in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations, Benoy’s career exemplifies strategic vision, operational excellence, and a people-first approach. His elevation underscores Citi’s commitment to developing strong internal talent and advancing its HR agenda across global markets.
