Renata Bastalic appointed as Chief People Officer at Tecala Group

Renata’s journey at Tecala spans more than eight years, during which she has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s people strategy. Prior to assuming her new position, she served as General Manager – People & Culture, where she was instrumental in steering Tecala’s inclusion in the Top 10 Best Workplaces in Technology (Medium to Large) and the Top 20 Best Workplaces in Australia lists for 2025. Her leadership has been central to embedding a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous growth within the organization.


Before joining Tecala, Renata worked across leading organizations such as Panasonic Australia and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), where she held progressive HR roles including HR Business Partner and HR Advisor – Learning & Development and OD Projects. Her earlier career spans a diverse set of HR functions across Metcash, Canon, GPC Electronics, Cerebos, and Optus, where she developed deep expertise in talent development, organizational design, and leadership enablement.

Known for her people-first leadership, Renata’s appointment as Chief People Officer reinforces Tecala Group’s commitment to nurturing its workforce, driving employee engagement, and cultivating a performance-driven culture that supports business excellence and innovation.
