Kate has been a part of Bridgewater Associates for over a decade, holding multiple strategic leadership positions that reflect her deep expertise in people, analytics, and operations. Prior to her new role, she served as COO & CPO of Alpha Engine, where she aligned people operations with the firm’s investment goals and strengthened organizational effectiveness. As Co-Head of Research Analytics in the Investment Engine, she played a key role in integrating data-driven decision-making into investment processes and talent development across teams.

Before joining Bridgewater, Kate spent four years at Teach For America, where she served as Recruitment Manager and Recruitment Associate. She led high-performing teams across 50+ campuses, improving diversity in applicant pipelines and setting record recruitment outcomes. Her efforts increased African American and low-income candidate representation, earning her recognition for excellence in recruitment strategy and data-driven performance management.

Earlier in her career, Kate taught mathematics at Place Bridge Academy in Denver, Colorado — the city’s magnet school for refugees. As a 7th Grade Math Teacher and Team Lead, she significantly raised standardized test scores and established peer tutoring and after-school programs. She began her career at the University of Miami, where she worked as a Student Supervisor in the Annual Fund office and later interned at Merrill Lynch in wealth management.

Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management & International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Pedagogy in Urban Education from the University of Colorado Denver.
