Vaibhav Korgaonkar Joins Guala Closures as Regional Human Resources Director – APAC & Africa

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Vaibhav Korgaonkar has joined Guala Closures as Regional Human Resources Director – APAC & Africa, where he will lead HR strategy and operations across the company’s high-growth regional markets.

In his new role, Vaibhav will provide strategic human resources direction and operational oversight across APAC and Africa, partnering closely with executive leadership to align human capital strategy with global business expansion objectives. He will also oversee cross-border workforce initiatives spanning manufacturing operations, governance, organizational agility, and talent transformation.

Prior to joining Guala Closures, Vaibhav served as Director Human Resource – Business Operations & Supply at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where he led people strategy, enterprise transformation, workforce governance, and talent readiness initiatives for a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing footprint comprising more than 1,500 employees.

Earlier, he worked with ELGI Equipments Limited as General Manager Human Resources, overseeing human capital governance and strategic HR operations across manufacturing plants and corporate functions including supply chain, R&D, finance, IT, and global marketing.

Before ELGI, Vaibhav served as General Manager / Lead HR Manufacturing at Biocon Biologics, where he led workforce governance, organizational transformation, talent ecosystem development, and succession planning across multiple high-technology manufacturing sites focused on biosimilars, insulin, and drug products.

He also spent more than three years with Procter & Gamble, holding HR leadership roles including India LR-ER Leader, HR Lead India PHC PS Organization and Senior Manager Human Resources, where he managed industrial relations, employee relations, acquisition integration, business continuity, and manufacturing HR operations. During this tenure, he received the prestigious P&G CEO Award and Best People Manager Award.

Earlier in his career, Vaibhav held HR leadership positions with Merck India, Micro Labs Limited, and United Breweries Ltd., building deep expertise across industrial relations, organizational effectiveness, HR transformation, employee experience, and manufacturing workforce management.
