Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, November 2025 — Tom Boylan has been appointed as Director of Talent Acquisition at Armstrong Group, a diversified family-owned enterprise with operations across telecommunications, security, technology, energy, and manufacturing sectors. In his new leadership role, Tom will spearhead Armstrong’s enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy, partnering with senior leaders to align recruitment initiatives with organizational growth priorities. His focus will be on driving innovation in recruitment strategy, employer branding, and process optimization to strengthen the company’s talent pipeline across its seven business divisions.
Tom has been part of Armstrong Group for nearly two years, most recently serving as Talent Acquisition Manager, where he led a team of recruiters executing hiring strategies across multiple business units. His approach combined data-driven practices and operational efficiencies, ensuring that Armstrong attracted and secured high-caliber talent aligned with its long-term business objectives.
Before joining Armstrong, Tom built a strong foundation at the Allegis Group, the world’s largest privately held recruitment and talent-solutions organization. During his six-year tenure, he held multiple leadership roles, including Recruitment Manager for Governance, Risk, & Compliance at TEKsystems and Recruitment Manager for Accounting & Finance at Aston Carter, where he developed greenfield territories and led specialized recruiting divisions. His early years at Aston Carter and Aerotek as a Technical Recruiter equipped him with deep expertise in staffing for finance, technology, and executive-level interim roles — supporting clients through M&A, ERP implementations, and pre/post-IPO transitions.
Tom began his professional journey with Techtronic Industries (TTI) as a Sales and Marketing Intern, where he supported sales operations for global consumer brands like Milwaukee, Rigid, and Ryobi at Home Depot locations. His early exposure to business operations and customer analytics sparked his long-term interest in strategy-driven talent and organizational growth.
