Raymond has been part of KAUST for over four years, most recently serving as Head of Learning and Development, where he worked in close partnership with university leadership to shape a dynamic leadership culture and develop the next generation of Saudi talent. His work has focused on creating an integrated learning ecosystem that leverages KAUST’s technical expertise and research environment to drive institutional excellence.

Before joining KAUST, Raymond served at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where he held multiple leadership roles over six years, including Director of Learning and People Strategy and Director of People Development and Operations. There, he was instrumental in building an innovative learning and development function that supported faculty, PhD-level scientists, and administrative professionals across Harvard and MIT collaborations. He launched Broad’s first leadership programs for faculty and scientists, established career development frameworks, and spearheaded the creation of MyLearning, a digital learning platform used across the institute.

Earlier, Raymond spent over a decade at Harvard University, progressing through a series of strategic HR and academic leadership roles, including Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Assistant Director of Faculty and Academic Affairs in the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology. During this period, he managed faculty recruitment, academic policy, and leadership development across interdisciplinary research programs spanning Harvard’s medical and scientific schools. His deep expertise in faculty engagement, academic operations, and leadership strategy continues to influence his approach to institutional talent development.

Earlier in his career, Raymond also worked in the U.S. political campaign sector, serving in various leadership and organizing roles for national campaigns, experiences that honed his skills in stakeholder engagement, communications, and strategic leadership.
