Wilmington, Delaware, United States, November 2025 – Matthew Harbaugh has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Qnity, taking on a key leadership role to guide the company’s financial strategy as it advances its position in the semiconductor and high-performance computing ecosystem. In this capacity, Harbaugh will oversee the organization’s financial operations, performance management, and fiscal governance to support Qnity’s accelerated growth trajectory.
In his most recent role, Harbaugh served as Chief Financial Officer at Qnity (DuPont spin co), where he contributed to the company’s early-stage structural and strategic financial development over a span of several months. His experience in leading finance during complex spinout environments provided a strong foundation for his transition into Qnity’s top financial role.
Prior to that, Harbaugh was VP Finance and CFO designate for Baxter Kidney Care at Baxter International Inc., where he spent over a year supporting the organization’s preparation for a significant business transformation. His work included shaping financial frameworks and strengthening the readiness of the business ahead of the intended spin.
Earlier, Harbaugh served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at NuVasive, where he oversaw all global financial operations for the innovative medical device company with more than $1 billion in revenues and operations spanning over 50 countries. This followed his role as Executive Vice President – Mallinckrodt / President – Specialty Generics Business and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer – Mallinckrodt at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, where he played an instrumental role in driving extensive M&A activity, portfolio reshaping, business unit leadership, and major financial transformations across the enterprise.
In addition to these senior roles, Harbaugh has held significant leadership positions at organizations including Covidien, Medtronic, The Care of Trees, Cerberus Capital Management, Monsanto Company, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where he gained broad experience across finance, corporate strategy, global operations, IT leadership, business turnarounds, customer operations, and investor relations. His early career included meaningful contributions in finance and sales functions, providing a strong foundation for the extensive leadership journey that followed.
