Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States, November 2025 — Julie Burmania has begun a new role as Director of Human Resources at AvaSure, a leading innovator in virtual patient care and monitoring solutions. In this strategic leadership role, she will oversee people operations, strengthen organizational capability, and support AvaSure’s mission of transforming clinical care with scalable virtual care technology.
Over the past nine years, Julie built a significant part of her career at HR Collaborative, culminating in her role as HR Business Partner. During her long tenure, she contributed to people development, talent strategy, and employee learning initiatives while supporting a wide range of organizational needs for multiple client groups. She also served earlier as Project Professional, focusing on talent strategy and learning & development. Her work at HR Collaborative demonstrates her expertise in designing people strategy, enabling employee growth, and driving business-aligned HR solutions.
Prior to this, Julie spent four years at Spectrum Health as an HR Business Partner, contributing to people development and talent strategy in one of Michigan’s largest healthcare systems. She also worked with Spectrum Health Medical Group for more than two years, first as Sr. HR Generalist and earlier as Human Resources Generalist, where she gained deep experience across employee relations, development initiatives, and learning programs. Her time at Spectrum strengthened her foundation in HR operations within complex, high-impact healthcare environments.
Julie’s earlier career at Saturn Electronics & Engineering spanned over seven years, where she grew through roles including HR Administrator, HR Manager, and HR Representative. During these years, she gained experience across HR generalist functions, talent strategy, and employee lifecycle operations. This experience provided her with a strong early grounding in HR practices that she carried forward into her later leadership roles.
Her academic background includes a Master’s Certificate in HR Administration from Central Michigan University, further strengthening her professional competency and expertise in the HR domain. Across nearly two decades of experience, Julie has developed a comprehensive understanding of HR leadership, people systems, and organizational development—positioning her strongly for her new role at AvaSure.
