London, United Kingdom, April 2026 — David Churchill has joined Version 1 as Chief People Officer, bringing extensive experience across people strategy, HR leadership, organizational development, performance management, leadership coaching, digital services, technology businesses, and large-scale workforce transformation.
In his new role at Version 1, David Churchill will lead the company’s people function as it continues to grow as a leader in AI and digital transformation. His appointment adds strong HR leadership depth to the organization as it partners with global customers to adopt technology, drive innovation responsibly, and deliver successful outcomes through world-class teams.
Before joining Version 1, David served as Chief People Officer at Endava, where he spent more than nine years leading people strategy across a global technology and digital transformation business. His tenure at Endava gave him deep experience in supporting fast-growing technology teams, strengthening organizational capability, and aligning people priorities with business growth.
Earlier, David worked as Head of HR at Arqiva, where he partnered with senior leadership teams across the satellite and finance functions. In this role, he supported strategic HR priorities, leadership alignment, and people initiatives across key business areas.
Prior to Arqiva, David spent nearly six years with BT, where he held multiple HR and management roles. As HR Business Partner, he supported BT’s IBM Mainframe and IT Operations organization and later partnered with CIOs of BT’s retail businesses, including Consumer and Business. His responsibilities included strategic HR guidance, leadership coaching, high-performance culture building, capability gap analysis, resource management, and organizational design.
At BT, David also served as HR Performance Management Specialist, providing performance coaching and guidance across BT Operate, covering performance management, attendance management, conduct management, and employee-related processes. Earlier, he worked in the Chairman and Chief Executive Office as a first-line manager, leading a team responsible for resolving high-level complaints received by executive leadership and customer complaints escalated through Ofcom.
David began his earlier career with Carillion as Project Manager, where he managed variable works outside the core facilities management contract with BT in the North West of England and Borders region. This role helped build his foundation in project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and operational management before moving deeper into HR leadership.
