Pune, India, June 2026 – Webasto Group has appointed Shillpa S Chabria as Vice President, People & Organization, Asia Pacific, where she will serve as the Chief People & Organization Officer for the company’s Asia Pacific operations.
In her new role, Chabria will lead the people strategy across the APAC region, supporting workforce growth, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent management, culture transformation, and people initiatives aligned with Webasto’s business objectives across one of the world’s most dynamic automotive and mobility markets.
Chabria joins Webasto with nearly two decades of progressive leadership experience across human resources, organizational development, ethics and compliance, talent management, employee engagement, workforce strategy, change management, and business transformation. Her career spans global manufacturing, automotive, industrial, specialty chemicals, consulting, and technology organizations.
Prior to joining Webasto, she served as Director Human Resources, India, Middle East & Africa at The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, where she led regional people strategy and human resources initiatives across multiple markets. Before that, she held leadership positions at thyssenkrupp, including Director, Human Resources, OSHE, Administration & CSR and Director Human Resources, India, where she played a key role in strengthening organizational capability, people leadership, and business transformation initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Chabria spent over nine years with Cummins Inc., holding several leadership positions including HR Leader – Distribution Business, Ethics Investigations & Right Environment Leader, Plant HR Leader, and HR Leader – India Automotive Business. During this period, she gained extensive experience in creating inclusive workplace cultures, employee relations, ethics and compliance, leadership development, talent strategy, workforce planning, and operational HR leadership.
She has also held HR leadership and consulting roles with Eaton, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Dell, building expertise across talent management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, HR analytics, learning and development, performance management, global mobility, and HR transformation.
Throughout her career, Chabria has developed a strong reputation for aligning people strategies with business goals, building high-performance cultures, driving organizational transformation, and enabling sustainable business growth through effective talent and leadership practices.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Webasto as the company continues to strengthen its position as a leading global mobility supplier, focusing on vehicle electrification, roof systems, battery technologies, and thermal management solutions. Chabria’s extensive international HR leadership experience is expected to support the organization’s continued growth and transformation across the Asia Pacific region.
