Bengaluru, India, June 2026 – The Standard India has appointed Santosh Varier as Head of Administration, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence, workplace experience, governance, and scalable administrative infrastructure as the organization continues to support The Standard’s global operations and growth agenda.
In his new role, Varier will be responsible for leading administration strategy and operations across The Standard India, overseeing facilities management, workplace services, vendor governance, travel management, compliance, asset management, infrastructure support, workplace safety, and operational efficiency initiatives. He will play a key role in ensuring the organization delivers a seamless employee experience while maintaining high standards of operational governance and service delivery.
Varier joins The Standard India from Mashreq, where he served as Head of Administration for Mashreq Global Network across India, Pakistan, and Egypt. In that role, he led enterprise-wide administration, facilities operations, travel management, vendor ecosystems, workplace services, compliance frameworks, budgeting, process automation, and operational transformation initiatives. He was instrumental in driving administrative modernization, cost optimization, governance enhancement, and service excellence across multiple geographies.
Prior to Mashreq, Varier served as Facilities Manager at WestBridge Capital, where he managed workplace operations and facilities services for one of India’s leading investment firms.
Earlier, he spent more than nine years with Swiss Re, holding leadership positions including Head CRES Bangalore and Assistant Vice President. During his tenure, he led procurement, workplace strategy, infrastructure management, environmental sustainability initiatives, communications, operational excellence programs, and large-scale facilities management operations. He also played a significant role in workplace transformation projects, vendor governance, procurement strategy, and environmental management initiatives across Swiss Re’s India operations.
Before Swiss Re, Varier held leadership roles with CBRE Asia Pacific, Infosys, and Global Franchise Architects, where he built extensive expertise across facilities management, workplace services, infrastructure operations, procurement, project management, compliance, budgeting, hospitality operations, and corporate administration.
With more than two decades of professional experience spanning administration, facilities management, workplace operations, procurement, infrastructure management, governance, vendor management, project leadership, and operational transformation, Varier brings a strong track record of building scalable operational frameworks and enhancing organizational effectiveness.
His appointment reflects The Standard India’s focus on strengthening operational capabilities, workplace excellence, and administrative leadership as the organization continues to expand its role in supporting The Standard’s global business operations.
