Redwood City, California, United States, November 2025 — Grafton Sciences has announced the appointment of Brent Powell as Head of Talent Acquisition, a key leadership role that will drive the company’s people strategy across its deep-tech divisions, including Robotics, AI/ML, and Engineering. With more than two decades of experience in technical recruiting, executive search, and global talent strategy, Brent brings an exceptional track record of building high-performance teams for frontier technology organizations.
In his new role, Brent will lead Grafton Sciences’ end-to-end recruitment strategy, partnering directly with engineering and research leadership to forecast hiring needs, design scalable interview frameworks, and attract world-class talent across competitive technology verticals. His focus will be on developing Grafton’s recruitment infrastructure, strengthening employer branding, and enabling rapid, high-quality organizational scaling aligned with the company’s deep-tech mission.
Prior to joining Grafton Sciences, Brent served as an Independent Executive Search Consultant for nearly a decade, collaborating with technology startups and innovation-led companies such as Clover Health, Synack, Globality, and Xamarin to help them build leadership teams across the United States. During this period, he also supported talent initiatives for emerging tech sectors including Web3, FinTech, and AI.
Earlier, Brent held senior talent leadership positions at organizations such as Samsung Catalyst Fund, BCG Digital Ventures, Intuit, SAP, and Marvell Technology, where he led recruitment across AI, semiconductor, and digital innovation domains. At Samsung Catalyst Fund, he successfully led the global talent acquisition function for investment, corporate strategy, and development divisions, driving strategic hiring and organizational transformation initiatives.
Brent began his career in recruiting with Borland Software, LeapFrog, and Symantec, where he spent nearly a decade leading executive and technical recruitment across cybersecurity, software engineering, and digital infrastructure. His extensive experience across both enterprise and startup ecosystems positions him to drive Grafton’s ambitious hiring roadmap at the intersection of AI and advanced engineering.
