Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 – Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) today announced the appointment of Vandana Suri to the HUL Management Committee (MC) as Executive Director, Home Care, in succession to Srinandan Sundaram, who will take over as CEO of Unilever International. The leadership changes will be effective January 1, 2026, following Board approval on December 1, 2025.
This change strengthens HUL’s leadership bench in one of its core growth engines, the Home Care portfolio, which houses flagship brands in fabric wash and household cleaning and remains a key contributor to the company’s performance in India.
In her most recent role, Vandana Suri has been serving as General Manager, Beauty & Wellbeing, Unilever Indonesia, leading one of the country’s largest beauty businesses. She is responsible for driving innovation, P&L delivery and market development in a highly competitive and fast-evolving beauty market. Known for her strategic vision and ability to build high-performance, diverse teams, she has spearheaded an ambitious transformation agenda in Indonesia, accelerating growth and strengthening Unilever’s position in Beauty & Wellbeing.
Prior to moving to Indonesia, Suri held a global mandate as Global Brand Lead / Global Brand Vice President in Beauty & Wellbeing, where she worked on some of Unilever’s most iconic beauty franchises. She played a pivotal role in shaping global brand strategy and premium positioning, including leading a major rebranding and relaunch in 2024 that sharpened portfolio focus on high-growth spaces and elevated the consumer value proposition in skincare.
Over more than a decade at Hindustan Unilever Limited, she has managed some of the company’s most critical categories. As Vice President, Skin Care & Colour Cosmetics, Beauty & Wellbeing at HUL, she charted a clear premiumisation pathway for skin care, focusing on high-growth formats and emerging consumer needs in India’s rapidly evolving beauty market. Before that, she led the premium laundry portfolio as General Manager, Premium Laundry & Market Activations and Category Head, Premium Fabric Wash, driving portfolio strategy, market development and communication that helped HUL strengthen its play in premium fabric wash and modern trade.
Earlier in her career, Suri worked across multiple leadership roles at Hindustan Unilever as Senior Region Brand Manager, and before joining HUL in 2011, she built a strong foundation in consumer and shopper understanding at PepsiCo, working as Category Management & Shopper Insights Manager and General Manager – Key Accounts. She has also worked with multinationals such as Tetra Pak and Nielsen, bringing together experience across categories, channels and markets. A postgraduate in marketing and communications from MICA – The School of Ideas (2000–2002), she now brings over 22 years of experience in leadership, market development, business strategy, P&L management and building inclusive, high-performance teams across India, South Asia and Indonesia.
Leadership Transition at Unilever International
Suri succeeds Srinandan Sundaram, who will take on a global mandate as CEO of Unilever International, the unit responsible for taking Unilever’s brands into white-space markets, new channels and under-served geographies, and for expanding acquired and core brands beyond their home markets. Sundaram, who joined HUL as a management trainee, has held several leadership roles across Customer Development and Marketing and has served on the HUL Management Committee for the last nine years. As Executive Director, Home Care, he has been credited with leading the business to strong growth and decisive market share gains.
The HUL Management Committee, led by CEO & Managing Director Priya Nair, oversees the operations of India’s largest FMCG company and includes leaders across categories and functions. Suri’s appointment underscores HUL’s internal leadership depth and the increasing presence of women leaders at the very top of India Inc’s consumer goods sector.
