Istanbul, Sariyer, Türkiye, December 2025 – TAV Airports has announced the appointment of Melis Tunaveli as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective 1 January 2026. Tunaveli will take over the role from Hakan Öker, leading the human resources strategy across TAV Airports’ international airport operations and service businesses.
Tunaveli brings over 25 years of experience in human resources across leading multinational organisations. She began her career at Roche Pharmaceuticals and Roche Vitamins and Fine Chemicals, where she held HR specialist and assistant manager roles. She then joined Kraft Foods (later Mondelēz International), serving for more than eight years in HR management positions and supporting large-scale organisational and people initiatives.
Subsequently, Tunaveli moved to Philip Morris International, where she spent around six years in Management & Organizational Development roles, including positions as Management & Organizational Development Manager and Management & Organizational Development Manager, EEMA Region, covering a broad geography across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In 2018, she joined Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) as Human Resources Director for Türkiye, a role she held for approximately five years. She later served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Human Resources Executive Committee Member, contributing to CCI’s people strategy, leadership development agenda and transformation efforts across multiple markets.
Tunaveli holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Koç University.
