New York City, New York, United States, December 2025 — Kruti Patel Goyal has been named Chief Executive Officer of Etsy and will take over from Josh Silverman on January 1, 2026. She said she is honored to lead a company she loves deeply and highlighted Etsy’s unique strength in the human connections that power creativity across its global seller and buyer community.
She also acknowledged Josh Silverman’s leadership, noting how he helped Etsy scale amid competition, sharpen its focus, and build a strong foundation for the next chapter. Kruti Patel Goyal emphasized her commitment to listening, learning, and growing alongside Etsy’s people and seller ecosystem as the company enters its next era.
Kruti Patel Goyal most recently served as President and Chief Growth Officer at Etsy, a role that positioned her at the center of marketplace scale, customer strategy, and long-term growth priorities.
Before returning to Etsy in this capacity, she was Chief Executive Officer at Depop, where she strengthened the platform’s community-driven marketplace positioning and elevated its brand relevance in the resale economy.
Earlier in her career, she spent over a decade at Etsy in senior leadership roles across product, trust, seller services, international expansion, and corporate development, including Chief Product Officer, SVP, Product, and GM, Seller Services.
She also built strong cross-sector strategy experience through roles at (RED), Nolita Global Advisors, and Viacom / MTVN, with a focus on partnerships, growth strategy, and business development.
Her early foundation in global finance and investment includes experience with General Atlantic Partners and Morgan Stanley, adding breadth to her marketplace and platform leadership profile.
Kruti Patel Goyal holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
