Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 – Mayank Goel has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer at Skechers South Asia Pvt. Ltd., where he will lead the Finance, Legal, and Administration functions for the organization. Based in Mumbai, his appointment comes at a time when Skechers continues to scale its footprint across India through rapid retail expansion, a growing distributor network, and a strong e-commerce presence.
In his current role, Mayank Goel is responsible for strengthening financial governance, supporting expansion initiatives, and partnering with leadership to enable sustainable growth for the Indian business of Skechers, one of the world’s largest sports footwear companies headquartered in the United States.
Before joining Skechers South Asia, Mayank Goel served as Chief Financial Officer at Aqualite India for close to two years, where he led finance operations and supported business transformation initiatives within the Indian footwear market.
Earlier, he spent over six years with the Bata Group in senior leadership roles across Africa and Southeast Asia. As Regional Finance Director, Africa at Bata Group, he worked closely with regional and global leadership, overseeing finance and IT functions across multiple operating companies and supporting strategic initiatives, including market re-entry and ERP implementation.
Prior to this, Mayank Goel served as Finance Director at Bata Shoe Kenya PLC, where he played a key role in managing large-scale retail and manufacturing operations, board governance, and regional finance leadership. His international experience also includes a stint as Finance Controller at PT Sepatu Bata Tbk. in Indonesia.
Earlier in his career, Mayank Goel spent nearly 15 years with Ernst & Young, progressing through multiple roles up to Senior Manager, where he built deep expertise across statutory audits, taxation, IFRS, US GAAP, capital markets, and quality implementation.
