Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Vertis Infrastructure Trust (formerly Highways Infrastructure Trust) has announced the appointment of Jonathan D’Souza as Chief Human Resources Officer. In his new role, D’Souza will lead the organisation’s enterprise people strategy, talent architecture, leadership development, culture integration, digital HR transformation and governance frameworks, strengthening Vertis’ capability to support large-scale transportation infrastructure stewardship across India.
Jonathan D’Souza has joined Vertis Infrastructure Trust as Chief Human Resources Officer, assuming responsibility for workforce strategy, leadership capability building, culture transformation and HR digitalisation aligned to Vertis’ rapidly expanding infrastructure portfolio.
Most recently, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Welspun One, where he built the people architecture, talent governance and leadership frameworks supporting the platform’s growth into one of India’s leading logistics and industrial real estate developers.
Earlier, at Welspun World, D’Souza held the role of Group Head – Centre of Excellence (Talent & Rewards) and Head HR – Welspun One, where he designed enterprise reward architecture, leadership pipelines and HR governance models across group businesses.
Prior to this, he was Chief – Culture & Digital Transformation at Logistic Integrators (India) Pvt. Ltd., leading the HR and IT functions as part of enterprise transformation and culture renewal initiatives.
His leadership journey also includes serving as Head – Corporate HR at Tech Mahindra Business Services, where he strengthened HR operations, talent management and organisational effectiveness across global delivery operations.
Earlier in his career, he held senior HR advisory and leadership roles at HR Anexi, Hutchison Global Services, and as Vice President & Head – Human Resources at ING Investment Management (India), building deep expertise in financial services, consulting and technology-driven HR transformation.
He holds a PGPMAX (Global Executive MBA) from the Indian School of Business, and has completed executive programs in Corporate Strategy at The Wharton School and Ethics & Stakeholder Communication at Kellogg School of Management.
