Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, May 2026 – Saksoft has appointed Edwin Sudhakar as Senior Vice President – Talent, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it accelerates its AI-led digital engineering and enterprise modernization growth strategy.
An alumnus of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Edwin Sudhakar brings extensive experience across the IT and ITES industries with deep expertise in talent management, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and leadership hiring. His appointment is expected to support Saksoft’s continued expansion across global markets and strengthen its people and talent strategy.
Commenting on his new role, Edwin Sudhakar expressed enthusiasm about rejoining Saksoft after more than 16 years, highlighting the company’s continued focus on growth, innovation, and organizational rigor.
Before rejoining Saksoft, Edwin Sudhakar spent more than 15 years with Virtusa in multiple senior HR and talent leadership roles across Asia Pacific markets. Most recently, he served as Head – HR (APAC and ANZ) based in Singapore, where he led talent acquisition, learning and development, logistics, and immigration functions across Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, and Hong Kong. During his tenure, he played a significant role in driving employee engagement, succession planning, leadership development, and business-aligned people strategies while supporting Virtusa’s regional growth agenda.
Earlier at Virtusa, he held the role of Asia Hiring Lead & Leadership Hiring, where he managed lateral hiring across India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka with a strong focus on leadership recruitment, automation, social hiring strategies, and gamification-led talent acquisition practices. He also served as Head – HR, Chennai ATC, leading HR operations for the Chennai Advanced Development Center and driving employee engagement, talent retention, and millennial workforce initiatives.
Prior to his long tenure at Virtusa, Edwin Sudhakar earlier worked with Saksoft as Head – Recruitment Function, where he led recruitment operations across multiple locations and managed hiring across technical and leadership functions.
His earlier professional journey also includes leadership roles at Sify Technologies, where he served as Recruitment Manager leading enterprise hiring initiatives across India, as well as positions at iGATE, Hexaware Technologies, Deloitte, Scope International, and e-Calyx and Indchem, building extensive expertise across recruitment, HR operations, organizational capability building, and talent transformation.
