Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund (ABSLMF) has appointed Prasad Kakkat as Head – HR & Administration. In this role, Prasad will lead the organization’s people strategy, HR operations, and administrative functions, strengthening workforce capability, governance, and organizational effectiveness across the fund house.
With more than two decades of HR leadership across financial services, consumer goods, and electronics sectors, Prasad brings deep expertise in sales HR, corporate HR strategy, talent staffing, HR analytics, and large-scale workforce management.
Prior to joining ABSLMF, Prasad Kakkat served as Head – Corporate HR & Talent Staffing at Aditya Birla Capital, where he led enterprise-wide HR strategy, talent staffing, and corporate HR initiatives.
Earlier, he spent over a decade at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, holding leadership roles including Head – Sales HR, Head – Corporate HR – Sales, and Zonal Manager – Human Resources, where he built and scaled HR strategy for sales organizations across multiple regions in India.
Before his tenure with the Aditya Birla Group, Prasad served as Regional Manager – HR at Samsung India Electronics, leading post-recruitment and HR operations across South India.
He also held key HR leadership roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. as Sales HR Manager, and at V-Guard Industries Ltd. as Officer – Corporate HR, managing nationwide HR operations early in his career.
Prasad holds a PGDPM in Human Resource Management from the National Institute of Personnel Management.
