Kolkata, West Bengal, India, January 2026 — Dr. Sandip Pradhan has been elevated to Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at Century Plyboards (India) Limited, marking an expanded leadership mandate across digital transformation, data & AI, SAP and enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and information technology. The elevation reflects the organization’s strategic commitment to technology-led growth and business value creation.
In this enhanced role, Dr. Pradhan will steer the company’s digital roadmap with a strong focus on future readiness, operational excellence, and integration of emerging technologies into core business processes. His portfolio encompasses Digital, SAP, IT Infrastructure, and Security, positioning technology as a central enabler of enterprise performance and innovation.
Dr. Pradhan joined Century Plyboards (India) Limited less than a year ago as Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where he rapidly built momentum in enterprise digital initiatives, SAP modernization, and infrastructure resilience. His strategic leadership and deep technology expertise have now led to his elevation as Chief Digital and Information Officer, expanding his charter to include AI-driven transformation, cloud strategy, cybersecurity governance, and business-aligned digital innovation.
Prior to this, he served for nearly eight years as Chief Information Officer at Exide Industries Limited, where he led multiple business-critical digital programs including mobility solutions for sales and service, SAP-based warranty management, real-time gross margin analytics, dealer dashboards, and social media analytics for customer insights. His tenure was marked by strong collaboration with the Joint Managing Director on process automation and enterprise transformation.
Earlier, as Head of Information Technology at Mangalam Cement Limited (B.K. Birla Group), Dr. Pradhan spearheaded one of the most advanced SAP transformations in the region — the first APJ and second global implementation of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management (On-Premise 1511). The program earned the prestigious SAP ACE Award 2016 and included pioneering PLC–SAP shop-floor integration and HANA auto failover architecture. He was recognized globally as a speaker at SAP TechEd, SAPPHIRE NOW (USA), and SAP Shaping Tomorrow Asia.
His formative years were spent in a long and progressive career at Exide Industries Limited, where he rose through multiple technology leadership roles — from Application Developer to Senior DGM-IT — building deep expertise in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, project delivery, and operational excellence. He began his professional journey in leadership roles at DataPro Info World Limited and LCC Lakhotia Computer Centre – India, managing technology training, software development, and corporate programs.
