Hong Kong SAR, China, January 2026 – Jan Ng has commenced a new role as Head of Sales, Employee Benefits at Howden, one of the world’s fastest-growing people-first insurance groups. In this leadership position, Jan will spearhead business expansion for Howden’s employee benefits practice in Hong Kong, strengthening client engagement strategies and driving innovative solutions that support workforce wellbeing and organizational resilience.
Prior to joining Howden, Jan Ng spent nearly seven years with Mercer, where he most recently served as Director, Business Development. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding Mercer’s corporate client portfolio across Hong Kong, advising organizations on benefits design, insurance solutions, and workforce health strategies. His progression through roles including Associate Director and Senior Manager – Business Development reflects his consistent success in building trusted client relationships and delivering consultative solutions aligned to evolving market needs.
Earlier, Jan was associated with Standard Chartered Bank as a Relationship Manager – Business Banking, where he partnered with commercial clients to structure financial solutions and deepen banking relationships. This experience strengthened his expertise in consultative sales, stakeholder management, and navigating complex client requirements—capabilities that now strongly complement his focus on employee benefits and risk advisory.
Before transitioning into financial services, Jan built his commercial foundations in the media and real estate sectors. He served as Account Manager at South China Morning Post (SCMP) for nearly three years, followed by a stint as Senior Account Executive at The Standard. Her early career included a role as Marketing Executive at Landscope Christie’s International Real Estate, where he supported branding and client engagement initiatives within Hong Kong’s premium property market.
Across these diverse industries, Jan Ng has developed a distinctive blend of sales leadership, market insight, and client-centric strategy—qualities that will be instrumental in advancing Howden’s employee benefits vision in the region.
