Auckland, New Zealand, August 2024 – Tamara Mapp-Borren has officially taken on the role of Director of People Programmes at EROAD, where she will be responsible for leading the company’s global people programs, including initiatives related to engagement, global communications, diversity and inclusion, health, safety, and well-being.
Tamara joined EROAD in December 2023, where she initially covered various HR roles across New Zealand, Australia, and North America as the People & Capability team underwent significant changes. During this period, she gained extensive experience across multiple areas of HR, which has prepared her to lead EROAD’s global people programs effectively.
Prior to EROAD, Tamara served as a Senior Strategy, Change, Leadership Consultant and Executive Coach at the Centre for Vision & Leadership. In this role, she designed and delivered strategy, culture, and leadership programs for corporate and government clients across New Zealand. Her leadership during this time was pivotal in driving growth and navigating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before that, Tamara was the Chief Executive Officer at Umbrella Wellbeing Ltd, where she led the team through a challenging period of change, implementing a new strategy focused on expansion and growth. Her leadership was instrumental in maintaining profitability and high-quality delivery of services during a time of significant transformation.
Tamara also held various roles at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise over nearly 11 years, including Director of Operations and Business Improvement. In this role, she led initiatives to ensure safety and well-being, privacy and security, and operational efficiency across a global network of 700 team members in 46 offices across 29 countries.
