Oslo, Oslo, Norway, January 2026 — Statkraft has announced the appointment of Tor M Lønnum as its new Chief Financial Officer, with effect from 1 February 2026.
Tor M Lønnum brings more than 25 years of senior financial and executive leadership experience from large Nordic and international organizations. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading Statkraft’s global finance function and supporting the company’s continued growth as Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy.
Most recently, Tor served as Chief Executive Officer of Kverva AS, having earlier held the roles of CFO and CEO at the company. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Management team at Falck, where he played a key role in financial governance and strategic execution across international markets.
Earlier in his career, Tor held senior leadership positions at Tryg, serving as Chief Financial Officer and member of Executive Management, and at Gjensidige, where he was Deputy CEO and CFO. In addition to his executive roles, he has extensive board-level experience, including serving as a Board Member and Risk Committee Chair at Gjensidige, Audit Committee Chair at TGS, and board roles with Aimia Inc, Bakkafrost, SpareBank 1 SR-Bank, and Lindorff.
Tor began his professional career at KPMG, where he built a strong foundation in finance and audit, before progressing into senior executive and board leadership roles across insurance, financial services, and investment-driven organizations.
