Riga, Latvia, February 2026 — Nordic Tyre Group, the largest tyre wholesaler across the Nordics and Baltics, has announced the appointment of Pāvels Solovjovs as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Pāvels will lead operational execution across the group, with a focus on scaling supply chain performance, strengthening execution speed across seasonal demand cycles, and enhancing efficiency across the multi-market wholesale ecosystem.
With a strong track record in business development, commercial leadership, operating-model redesign, and process optimisation, Pāvels brings deep experience across logistics-driven and high-complexity distribution environments, combining data-driven decision making with operational rigor.
In his new assignment at Nordic Tyre Group, Pāvels Solovjovs has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer, supporting the group’s mission of delivering the right tyres at the right time and price—across a market shaped by high variant complexity, seasonal shifts, and supply chain dependency.
Alongside this, Pāvels continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at LATAKKO, based in Riga, Latvia, where he has been leading strategic direction and governance for the organisation for close to four years.
Previously, he worked with Atea Global Services Ltd. for over two years as Senior Vice President, where he led business development and revenue growth, executed end-to-end company strategy, guided commercial operations and product development, and drove organisation restructuring and operating-model redesign.
Before that, Pāvels built a long and impactful career at Kreiss, spending over 13 years across progressive leadership roles. As Commercial Director / Chief Business Development Officer, he served as a management board member and led strategic and business development planning, process audits and redesign, automation initiatives, and LEAN implementation. He also drove IT innovations, led a 31-member IT team, managed procurement for transport fleet investments, and delivered measurable operational improvements—spanning customer service levels, process efficiency, driver retention, and total cost of ownership improvements.
Earlier at Kreiss, he served as Commercial Director, where he led international market development, established and scaled key account management and freight forwarding functions, managed fleet procurement, and strengthened internal systems such as ERP modules, telematics, and EDI customer/supplier integrations.
He began his journey at Kreiss as Head of Transport Department, leading the operational build-out of transport processes and daily management. During this phase, he contributed to high-scale growth, including expansion across Southern Europe and CIS markets, while improving fleet utilisation and strengthening commercial execution.
Pāvels Solovjovs holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Rīgas Ekonomikas augstskola – Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
