Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, February 2026 — Wagh Bakri Tea Group has appointed Bhawesh Thakar as Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO), strengthening the group’s leadership as it accelerates digital transformation and technology-led growth. In this role, he is responsible for spearheading digital innovation initiatives and IT operations, with a strong focus on process automation, operational efficiency, and enterprise-wide technology enablement aligned with business objectives.
Bhawesh brings over two decades of deep expertise across IT infrastructure, information security, governance, risk and compliance, and large-scale digital transformation programs. Prior to joining Wagh Bakri Tea Group, he spent more than seven years at AWL Agri Business Limited, where he served as Head of IT Infrastructure and GRC and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), leading enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity strategy, and governance frameworks.
Earlier, Bhawesh held multiple leadership roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited, where he led DevOps, IT solutions engagement, and supply chain technology transformation initiatives across India and international markets including Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. His responsibilities included ERP implementations, future digital supply chain visioning, and large-scale systems delivery across manufacturing and distribution operations.
His career foundation was built through progressive roles within IT operations and enterprise systems delivery, beginning with IT&T Limited, where he worked on network and server support for large enterprise customers. This extensive hands-on and leadership experience has shaped his ability to bridge technology strategy with business execution.
