United States, February 2026 — Karissa Bussard has accepted the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for a newly formed global data center platform established by ACS Group (ACS Digital & Energy) and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), part of BlackRock.
This 50/50 joint venture brings together deep industrial, investment, and operating expertise to meet accelerating global demand for digital infrastructure. The platform launches with 1.7 GW of projects under development across Europe, the United States, and Australia, supported by a global pipeline exceeding 11 GW.
In her new leadership role, Karissa Bussard will drive the platform’s global people, culture, and talent strategy, positioning people strategy as a central driver of execution excellence, safety culture, leadership capability, and workforce systems required to deliver mission-critical infrastructure responsibly and sustainably at scale. As highlighted in the announcement, the platform aims to build not just capacity, but also disciplined end-to-end delivery models that earn trust and strengthen partnerships in communities where it operates.
Karissa shared that she is energized to partner with leaders across ACS, GIP, and the platform, underscoring the strong foundation created by experienced global leadership across infrastructure development, construction, data centers, and operations. With her background of leading HR for Digital Technology at GE through a historic business separation and over two decades of transformation experience, she reinforced the strategic importance of culture-led execution — emphasizing that people strategy is not a support function, but an operating requirement.
Before taking on this strategic CHRO mandate, Karissa Bussard spent close to one year and a half at GE Aerospace as Executive Senior Human Resources Manager, Digital Technology, Strategy & Corporate Development, where she led global HR strategy supporting 2,500+ employees and 6,000+ contractors across 100+ countries. Her work included driving organizational design, talent renovation, transformation strategy, and leading HR operations during separation and spin-off activities. She also contributed to the enterprise Artificial Intelligence Operating Model and led a global HR team of 50+ while standardizing HR processes to improve leadership capability, compliance, and transparency.
Prior to this, she spent nearly three years with GE as Executive Senior Human Resources Manager, Digital Technology, leading global HR strategy for a matrixed digital technology organization spanning 150+ countries, supporting 6,000+ employees and major contractor populations. In this phase, she played a key role in preparation for the transition into the GE Aerospace standalone entity, while executing a differentiated people strategy that strengthened attraction and retention and reduced attrition.
Earlier, she served at Dematic as Vice President, Human Resources and Global Organization & Talent Development Leader, where she directed global HR and talent lifecycle strategy for a workforce of 14,000 people worldwide, helping shape and launch a strategic people agenda and standardizing global talent processes for cost savings and productivity improvement.
Karissa also held several senior leadership roles across GE over nearly a decade, including Executive, Global Organization & Talent Development Leader at FieldCore – GE Vernova Field Services, where she led global people & culture transformation initiatives, performance development, learning, talent reviews, and HR shared services. Her experience includes major organization scaling work, workforce strategy, cost synergies, and engagement transformation programs such as the “U&I” initiative supporting diversity outcomes and leadership mobility.
In the earlier phase of her career, she contributed to HR and talent leadership in GE Power and GE Healthcare, and also served as an Executive Recruiter at Korn Ferry. She began her professional journey with roles at NBC Universal, including leadership responsibilities in the renowned Page Program, supporting early-career talent development and operational excellence.
