Kanwal Kaul Appointed as Executive - Global Talent Acquisition & Exec Search at IBM

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2025 – Kanwal Kaul has joined IBM as Executive – Global Talent Acquisition & Exec Search. In this role, Kaul will leverage his extensive expertise in talent acquisition, executive search, employer branding, and strategic workforce planning to strengthen IBM’s global talent strategy. His appointment is expected to play a crucial role in attracting and retaining top-tier talent to drive IBM’s growth and innovation.

Prior to joining IBM, Kanwal Kaul was with NatWest Group for over eight years, serving as Senior Director – People & Transformation, Talent Acquisition, and Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Council. In this role, he led the talent acquisition function, early careers, succession planning, mobility hub, and market employment branding. He also played a pivotal role in DE&I initiatives, ensuring gender balance, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and multi-generational workforce strategies.

Before his tenure at NatWest Group, Kaul was Senior Director, Human Resources – Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Tata Communications, where he managed global hiring strategies across Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. His leadership contributed to enhancing capacity and capability management across the organization.

Kaul also served as Regional Director – Talent Acquisition for Asia Pacific and Japan at American Express, overseeing recruitment strategies across 11 markets. Additionally, he held Global Head of Talent Acquisition & Talent Development roles at Capgemini, where he led talent acquisition, mobility, and executive hiring across 20 countries.

His earlier roles include Regional Recruitment Head for Asia Pacific & EMEA at UnitedHealth Group, Process Leader at Dell Technologies, and a five-year tenure at GE Capital managing business operations and site setup projects in India and the Philippines.
