New York, United States, February 2026 — Shanda Arthurs has been appointed as Vice President – Talent Management AEO Inc. & Stores HR at American Eagle Outfitters Inc., effective February 2026. In this expanded leadership role, she will oversee enterprise-wide talent management strategies while leading human resources for AEO’s store operations, supporting the company’s continued focus on people, culture, and organisational growth.
Shanda has been associated with American Eagle Outfitters Inc. for nearly four years. Prior to stepping into her current role, she served as Vice President – Human Resources, Commercialization, where she played a key role in supporting business transformation initiatives and aligning HR strategy with commercial objectives.
Before joining AEO, Shanda spent close to five years at Bath & Body Works and White Barn, where she held senior leadership roles including Vice President – Stores HR and Vice President – Talent Management / Learning & Development, leading large-scale retail HR operations, leadership development, and learning initiatives across the organisation.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly eight years at Victoria’s Secret, holding multiple leadership positions such as Vice President – Talent Management and Learning & Development, Associate Vice President – HR Integration, and Director – Human Resources, contributing significantly to talent integration, leadership capability building, and organisational effectiveness.
She has also served as Vice President – Human Resources & Retail Operations at Goodwill Columbus, and spent over a decade at Limited Brands, where she held the role of Director of Human Resources, building a strong foundation in retail HR leadership.
