Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 – Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) has appointed Anuj Gandhi as Chief Business Officer – Digital Entertainment Services, strengthening its leadership as it scales its digital entertainment ecosystem.
In this role, Anuj will lead Jio’s digital entertainment portfolio, managing platforms including JioTV and JioTV+, driving OS strategy for Jio TeleOS across planning, growth, and execution, and overseeing end-to-end content planning, acquisition, and strategic partnerships. He will lead a cross-functional organization spanning Commercial, Product, Sales, and Delivery to build a world-class entertainment ecosystem for millions of users.
Anuj brings over two decades of leadership experience in media, content monetization, and digital distribution. Prior to this appointment, he served as Founder & CEO of Streambox Media Pvt Ltd, where he focused on transforming India’s connected TV ecosystem and building a unified, intuitive TV operating system. He also founded Plug and Play Entertainment Pvt Ltd, a media-tech startup delivering connected TV experiences across device, mobile, and web platforms.
Earlier, Anuj held multiple leadership roles within the Reliance Jio ecosystem, including Head of Partnerships – Cable Business, and previously served as Group CEO of Indiacast Media Distribution Pvt Ltd, leading content monetization for Network18/Viacom18. He was also CEO of DEN Networks Limited, where he played a foundational role in building the company, and President at MSM Discovery, establishing one of India’s leading media aggregation businesses.
With deep expertise in content strategy, platform innovation, and large-scale digital ecosystem building, Anuj’s appointment marks a strategic step in advancing Jio’s ambition to redefine digital entertainment at scale.
