United States, February 2026 – Samantha Famous has joined good culture as Chief People Officer, stepping into the role at a pivotal phase of accelerated growth for the clean-label food brand.
In her new role, Samantha will help scale the organization while strengthening a strong, values-driven culture aligned with good culture’s mission of delivering real, healing foods without compromising the planet or animal welfare.
Prior to this appointment, Samantha spent five years at Modern Animal, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, People. During her tenure, she helped scale the organization from 10 to over 600 employees and expand from one to 30 clinics across multiple states—supporting sustained revenue growth while maintaining engagement and retention levels well above industry benchmarks. Earlier at Modern Animal, she served as Vice President, People, playing a critical role in building scalable people systems and leadership infrastructure.
Before that, she was Vice President, People at The Wing, joining during a period of intense growth and cultural transformation. She implemented people systems and leadership frameworks that brought clarity and operational stability across 11 locations in the U.S. and U.K.
Samantha also held leadership roles at sweetgreen, where she supported rapid national expansion to 100+ locations, and at Blue Apron, helping build foundational people programs during its early-stage scale-up to over 1,000 employees. Earlier in her career, she gained retail leadership experience at Henri Bendel and Target.
Samantha holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Services from University of Southern California.
