Zürich Metropolitan Area, Switzerland, March 2026 – Constanze Nuesperling has started a new position as Senior Vice President, Global Shared Services at SMS Concast. In this role, she will lead SMS Group’s Shared Services Centers globally and drive strategic priorities around process standardization and digitalization, strengthening operational efficiency and enabling scalable global service delivery across the organization.
Nuesperling joins SMS Concast after serving as Senior Vice President – Global Business Services Transformation at Friedhelm Loh Group, where she led large-scale digitalization and process transformation initiatives. During her tenure, she implemented Business Process Management methodologies using BPMN 2.0 across more than 350 processes, contributed to SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives, and drove process excellence programs leveraging Celonis to deliver measurable operational improvements and value realization.
Earlier, she served as Head of Global Business Services at Avient Corporation, where she successfully established three standalone Shared Services Centers in Poland, India, and China during the global pandemic. In this leadership role, she oversaw operations across critical business functions including Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Data-to-Insight, and logistics, managing a global team supporting enterprise-wide service delivery.
Prior to that, Nuesperling held multiple leadership roles at Clariant, including GBS Hire-to-Retire Process Lead, where she played a pivotal role in building global shared services capabilities and introducing robotic process automation (RPA) within HR reporting processes. She also served as a Non-Executive Director for Clariant Germany, advising senior leadership on governance and stakeholder management.
Earlier in her career, she held senior transformation and shared services leadership roles with UCB, Pitney Bowes, Kearney, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, and Accenture, where she built extensive expertise in outsourcing strategy, finance transformation, global business services, and enterprise operating model design. Nuesperling also authored the book “UPSOURCING: How to Successfully Build and Run Global Business Services,” sharing practical insights and methodologies from her experience implementing shared services models across global organizations. She holds a Ph.D. in Government and International Relations and an M.Sc. in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
