Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited Appoints Mehul Shah as Chief Financial Officer

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, March 2026 – Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL), one of India’s leading manufacturers of power transformers and reactors, announced the appointment of Mr. Mehul Shah as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company, effective March 5, 2026, following the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and approval by the Board of Directors.

A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Mr. Shah brings over 26 years of extensive experience in strategic finance, financial operations, fund management, taxation, compliance, and corporate governance. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles across several reputed organisations including Nirma Limited, Adani Enterprises Limited, Reliance Logistics Private Limited, Arvind Smart Spaces Limited, Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited, and Asian Granito India Limited.

Mr. Shah succeeds Mr. Chanchal S. S. Rajora, who will continue to serve the Company as Director (Finance) and Senior Management Personnel.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Satyen Mamtora, Managing Director & CEO, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited, said, “We are pleased to welcome Mehul Shah as our Chief Financial Officer. His expertise in financial strategy, governance, and operational excellence will be instrumental as we continue to scale our operations and strengthen our position in the power infrastructure sector.”

In his new role, Mr. Shah will lead TARIL’s financial strategy, strengthen financial governance, and support the company’s growth ambitions in the power infrastructure and energy sectors.

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) is one of India’s leading transformer manufacturers, with more than four decades of engineering excellence and a strong global presence. The company has an installed manufacturing capacity exceeding 75,000 MVA per annum, enabling the production of transformers up to 1,000 MVA and 1,200 kV class. TARIL operates three advanced manufacturing facilities at Moraiya, Changodar, and Odhav near Ahmedabad, Gujarat, equipped with modern machinery, dust-controlled environments, and robust in-house testing infrastructure aligned with global standards.

TARIL offers a comprehensive portfolio that includes Power Transformers (5 MVA to 1,000 MVA), Distribution Transformers up to 10 MVA, Furnace Transformers up to 120 kA, Rectifier Transformers up to 160 kA DC, and Shunt and Series Reactors up to 765 kV, along with specialized transformers for traction, renewable energy, and industrial applications. With more than 18,000 transformers installed across 40+ countries, the company serves utilities, EPC contractors, and multinational organizations worldwide.
