Johannesburg, South Africa, April 2026 — Sun International has welcomed Zandile Mposelwa as Public Affairs Director. She joins the company with extensive experience across corporate affairs, government relations, stakeholder engagement, public policy, marketing, and communications. Her appointment adds a seasoned public affairs leader to the organization as it continues to strengthen its position across gaming, hospitality, and entertainment.
Before joining Sun International, Zandile Mposelwa served as Director Corporate Affairs at Kellanova, where she led sustained engagement with national and regional government departments, regulators, and industry bodies on regulatory reform, public interest policy, and business operating conditions. In this role, she developed and executed advocacy strategies aligned with commercial objectives, public trust, and societal expectations, advised executive leadership on regulatory risk and political developments, represented the company in industry associations and public-private forums, and led crisis and issues management. She also oversaw ESG and social impact strategy, aligning corporate commitments with public policy priorities.
Prior to that, she built a long and accomplished career at Kellogg Company, where she most recently served as Corporate Affairs Director. In this role, she led internal and external communication strategies, directed government relations and public affairs initiatives, and spearheaded social impact programs that significantly expanded community impact. Earlier at Kellogg Company, she worked as Marketing Manager Rest of Africa and Emerging Markets, where she led market re-entry and expansion strategies in regulated emerging markets, and as Trade Marketing Manager – Cereals and Snacks, where she led cross-functional teams delivering go-to-market initiatives in compliance-driven retail and consumer environments.
Earlier in her professional journey, Zandile Mposelwa served as Category Manager: Beverages and Food at Tetra Pak South Africa, where she partnered with multinational clients and regional stakeholders across SADC markets to drive category growth in regulated packaging and food systems. Before that, she worked as Marketing Project Manager at Nampak, coordinating product marketing plans and optimizing commercial viability through feasibility assessments.
She also held the role of Fuels Product Manager at BP South Africa, where she defined and executed fuel marketing plans, including the launch of BP Ultimate Diesel 50PPM. Earlier, she served as Inbound Contact Centre Manager at Woolworths Financial Services, adding customer-facing leadership and operational management experience to her broad career profile.
Across her career, Zandile Mposelwa has built strong expertise in corporate affairs, public policy, government engagement, stakeholder management, crisis response, ESG, communications, and commercial strategy. Her move to Sun International reflects a professional journey shaped by leadership across highly regulated and consumer-facing industries, positioning her well to lead the company’s public affairs agenda.
