Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Runwal Enterprises has announced the appointment of Dr. Rakesh Setia as Chief Executive Officer – Luxury Segment, entrusting him with full responsibility for P&L, sales, marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM) as the company sharpens its focus on premium real estate growth.

This strategic move underscores Runwal Enterprises’ intent to strengthen its position in the high-growth luxury housing segment, with a clear emphasis on brand-led growth, superior customer experience, and premium market positioning in an increasingly competitive real estate landscape.

Dr. Setia brings over 30 years of diverse leadership experience across industries including consumer goods, telecom, and real estate, having worked with globally recognized brands such as Kodak, Reebok, Hutchison, Idea Cellular, and Vodafone Idea Limited. His career reflects a consistent ability to build consumer-centric brands, scale businesses, and deliver strong commercial outcomes.

Most recently, he served as President – Sales and Marketing at Rustomjee Group, where he played a pivotal role in driving business transformation and growth strategy. During his tenure, he led initiatives across sales, marketing, CRM, pricing, and business strategy, working closely with the board and leadership team to redefine organizational direction. His efforts resulted in a fourfold expansion of the business, supported by strong pillars such as digitization, analytics, brand building, and team capability development.

Prior to this, Dr. Setia held senior leadership roles in the telecom sector, including at Vodafone Idea Limited and Idea Cellular, where he managed large-scale operations, led cross-functional teams, and delivered significant revenue growth across regions. His experience spans managing large P&L portfolios, building high-performance teams, and executing market expansion strategies in highly competitive environments.

Earlier in his career, he contributed to leading consumer brands such as Reebok and Kodak, where he gained strong grounding in brand management, retail expansion, and go-to-market strategies, shaping his deep understanding of consumer behavior and premium positioning.

Dr. Setia holds a Doctorate in Business Management (Strategic Management) from S P Jain School of Global Management, along with advanced management education from INSEAD, an MBA from GlobalNxt University, and a PGDBM from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, reflecting a strong blend of academic rigor and practical leadership expertise.
