Dhaka, Bangladesh, April 2026 — Ashique Emdad has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Partex Star Group, where he will lead enterprise-wide HR strategy aligned with business growth and workforce aspirations. In this role, he will oversee organizational design, talent acquisition, HR operations, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and industrial relations across multiple manufacturing units, while also driving succession planning and HR governance at the board level.
Prior to this appointment, Ashique Emdad served as Head of HR & Administration at Sheltech Ceramics Ltd., where he led HR and compliance for both factory and corporate operations. During his tenure, he played a key role in workforce expansion for new factory units, implemented HR policies and SOPs aligned with business strategy, and strengthened governance and labor law compliance across operations.
Earlier, he was associated with SQ Group as Head of HR for SQ Birichina Ltd. and SQ ColBlanc Ltd., where he managed end-to-end HR, compliance, and administration. His leadership resulted in significant improvements in workforce stability, including reduction in absenteeism and labor turnover, alongside recognition from global brands such as H&M for compliance and operational excellence.
In his previous role as General Manager – HR, Admin & Compliance at NASSA Denim, Ashique Emdad led HR operations across multiple manufacturing units, standardizing policies, implementing performance management systems, and strengthening succession planning frameworks. His work laid the foundation for structured HR practices in a complex, multi-unit environment.
He also brings extensive global exposure from his long tenure with H&M, where he held multiple HR leadership roles across Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, and Sri Lanka. As an HR Business Partner and HR Responsible, he managed multi-country HR operations, implemented global HR standards, and drove organizational development initiatives across diverse supply chain functions. His early career includes roles at Scholastica Limited and as an Adjunct Faculty at City University (Bangladesh).
