Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Srikanth Velamakanni has been appointed as Co-founder and Group Chief Executive of Fractal, continuing to lead the Fractal group of companies with a focus on long-term strategy, innovation, inorganic growth, and the global expansion of artificial intelligence and analytics solutions.
In this role, Srikanth Velamakanni will continue to shape the long-term future of Fractal, strengthening its position as a global enterprise AI and analytics company. He has been associated with Fractal since its inception and has played a central role in building the company into a trusted AI and analytics partner for large global enterprises.
Srikanth Velamakanni co-founded Fractal in 2000 and earlier served as Chief Executive Officer, during which he was involved in institutionalizing analytics at several Fortune 100 global companies. He later took on the role of Co-founder, Group Chief Executive & Executive Vice-Chairman, leading the Fractal group of companies and focusing on the long-term future of the business.
Beyond Fractal, Srikanth holds key leadership and governance positions across several organizations. He serves as Chairperson of nasscom, after being appointed to the role in April 2026, succeeding Sindhu Gangadharan. He has also been associated with nasscom as Vice Chairperson, Member of the Executive Council, and earlier as Co-Chairman of the NASSCOM BPM Council.
Srikanth is also Non-Executive Chairman at ideaForge, Co-founder & Trustee at Plaksha University, Independent Director at Metro Brands Limited, Independent Director at NIIT Limited, and Independent Director at BARC India. These roles reflect his wider contribution to technology, education, governance, business strategy, AI innovation, and industry leadership.
His entrepreneurial and board leadership experience also includes serving as Chairman of the Board at FinalMile Consulting, Chairman of the Board at Crux Intelligence, and Founding Chairman of the Board at Qure.ai. At Qure.ai, he supported the company’s mission of making healthcare more accessible and affordable by using AI to assist doctors in diagnostic decision-making.
Earlier in his career, Srikanth worked with ICICI, where he was part of the Structured Products Group and contributed to asset-backed and mortgage-backed structured finance transactions, including work linked to India’s first CDO in 1999. He also worked with ANZ Investment Bank, where he participated in structured finance and eurocurrency syndicated loan transactions.
