Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Jenil Sheth has been promoted to Head of Marketing at Abbott, marking a significant leadership milestone in his career across pharmaceutical marketing, product management, sales management, brand strategy, and healthcare business growth.
In his new role at Abbott, Jenil Sheth will lead marketing initiatives and support the company’s continued focus on strengthening healthcare solutions across key therapeutic and consumer health categories. He brings significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong expertise across product management, sales management, corporate marketing, brand operations, and market-driven growth strategies.
Jenil has been associated with Abbott for more than eight years. Before being promoted to Head of Marketing, he served as Marketing Manager, where he contributed to marketing strategy and execution for the company’s healthcare portfolio. Earlier, he worked as Group Product Manager, supporting portfolio strategy, brand growth, and product management initiatives.
His journey at Abbott also includes his role as Brand Operations Manager, where he worked on brand operations, execution planning, marketing coordination, and business support across healthcare categories. Over the years, his ability to align product strategy with market dynamics has positioned him as a well-rounded marketing leader in the healthcare space.
Before joining Abbott, Jenil served as Senior Product Manager at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where he strengthened his product management experience in the pharmaceutical sector. His work at Glenmark added to his understanding of therapeutic categories, market competition, and brand growth.
Earlier, Jenil worked with the Biopharma Business of Merck, where he held roles including Associate Manager – Marketing and Premium Accounts Manager. As Associate Manager – Marketing, he managed corporate marketing and communications for a product mix across paediatric and nutraceutical therapy areas, while also planning and executing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive brand growth and profitability.
During his tenure with Merck, he also drove sales for Erbitux, a targeted therapy used in metastatic colorectal and head and neck cancer, across major institutions in Mumbai, including Tata Memorial Hospital. His experience covered consultative sales, scientific engagement, high-impact presentations, and product visibility in a competitive market.
Jenil began his professional journey with Bioplus Lifesciences, where he worked in international marketing and product management across Middle East, North African, and European markets. He managed nutraceutical brand portfolios, developed webpage content for planned launches, and supported brand redesign initiatives through consumer research.
Jenil holds an MBA in Pharmaceuticals Management from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). During his MBA, he was awarded a Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in the subject Marketing of Medical Devices.
