Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Kavitha Ananthan has taken on an expanded role as Global Communications Manager & PMO – Marketing at UPL, marking a significant milestone in her journey with the global sustainable agriculture company.
In this expanded role, Kavitha Ananthan will lead global internal communications and marketing PMO initiatives, while supporting strategic marketing programs and driving alignment across regions as part of her PMO responsibilities to the Chief Marketing Officer. Her role includes strengthening marketing communications, coordinating global marketing initiatives, managing leadership communication, and supporting cross-functional project delivery.
Kavitha has been associated with UPL for more than 10 years. Before this expanded role, she served as Global Internal Communication Manager, where she led global internal communication initiatives, strengthened employee engagement, amplified leadership communication, managed town halls, newsletters, internal platforms, the marcom library, and flagship programs such as the OpenAg Awards.
Earlier at UPL, Kavitha held roles including Internal Communications Manager, EA to Global CHRO, and Productivity Enhancer, building deep experience across communications, stakeholder management, content creation, internal campaigns, branded initiatives, leadership coordination, and organizational effectiveness.
Before joining UPL, Kavitha worked with General Mills as Executive Assistant to Finance Director, where she supported executive communication, event coordination, travel management, documentation, meeting governance, MIS reporting, and stakeholder management. Her earlier career includes roles with Ispat Industries Ltd, HP, and Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Biols Ltd., where she gained experience in administration, coordination, communication, reporting, travel management, and operational support.
