Pooja Velhal has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at Sanghvi Movers Limited, where she will also oversee Brand Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Velhal brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having begun her tenure in April 2024. With a strategic focus on human capital, her role encompasses cultivating culture, capability, competence, and collaboration among other core areas.
Prior to her current role, Velhal was the Head of Global HR at Sundaram Clayton Limited from February 2023 to April 2024. In Chennai, she led HR initiatives across India, Europe, and the USA, focusing on creating a future-ready workforce, managing cultural transformations, and implementing strategic HR practices aligned with the company’s growth vision.
Before joining Sundaram Clayton, Velhal made significant contributions at Schaeffler, where she spent nearly eight years up to December 2022, last serving as the Head of L&D, Talent, and OD-Culture for the APAC region. Her efforts were crucial in developing competency management frameworks and advancing diversity and inclusion within the company.
Velhal’s extensive HR background also includes pivotal roles at GUS Global Services India Pvt. Ltd., where she was the Human Resources Director, and earlier at Kohler Co. as the HR Partner for the Commercial K&B India BU, among other leadership positions in prominent companies.
