Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 – Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited has announced the appointment of Ramesh Juneja as Head – India Business, where he will spearhead Sales & Marketing for the company’s domestic Human Health business.
Welcoming him to the organization, the company highlighted that Ramesh Juneja brings more than three decades of distinguished experience across pharmaceutical sales, marketing, leadership development, business growth, and high-performance team building. His appointment is expected to further strengthen Alembic Pharmaceuticals’ growth trajectory in India’s highly competitive pharmaceutical sector.
Before joining Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ramesh Juneja was associated with entrepreneurial and advisory initiatives including BJW Health Pvt Ltd as Co-Founder and Ramesh Juneja Business Advisory, where he focused on sales leadership, business advisory, product launches, and strategic growth consulting within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, he served as Senior Vice President at Reliance Retail, contributing to healthcare and retail business growth initiatives. Earlier, he worked with Sun Pharma as Cluster Head, leading significant pharmaceutical business operations and commercial strategies.
A major part of his professional career was spent with Cipla over a span of nearly 13 years, where he held multiple leadership positions including Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Sales Manager, Regional Manager, District Manager, and Territory Manager. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in building and scaling large pharmaceutical businesses across acute and chronic therapies.
At Cipla, Ramesh Juneja led the company’s major antibiotic and pain management business divisions, managed large field and leadership teams, launched multiple business initiatives, and drove market expansion strategies across India. He was also instrumental in conceptualizing and establishing Cipla Quadra, besides introducing innovative digital and technology-driven approaches in diabetes-focused pharmaceutical sales and promotion.
He started his professional career as a Manufacturing Chemist with Java Pharmaceuticals in Gurgaon before moving into pharmaceutical sales and business leadership roles.
Ramesh Juneja holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
At Alembic Pharmaceuticals, he is expected to lead the domestic Human Health business with a strong focus on sales acceleration, market penetration, leadership capability building, and long-term business growth.
