Dallas, Texas, United States, June 2026 – AT&T has appointed Bertrand Dussert as Vice President, Talent Acquisition, bringing to the organization one of the most accomplished talent acquisition leaders in the global HR and recruitment industry.
Dussert joins AT&T after serving as Vice President, Talent Acquisition at Staples, where he led enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies for one of the largest workplace solutions companies in North America. During his tenure, he oversaw teams responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring talent across all levels of the organization while also serving as the HR leadership team’s point person for generative and agentic AI initiatives, helping evaluate and deploy emerging AI capabilities across HR functions.
In his new role at AT&T, Dussert will lead talent acquisition strategy and execution for the telecommunications giant, supporting workforce planning, leadership hiring, recruitment transformation, talent intelligence, and the integration of advanced technologies to strengthen hiring outcomes across the enterprise. His appointment comes as organizations increasingly leverage AI, analytics, and workforce insights to address evolving talent demands and business transformation priorities.
With more than 25 years of experience spanning talent acquisition, workforce planning, HR transformation, executive recruitment, shared services, and human capital technology, Dussert has built an impressive track record leading large-scale global talent organizations across diverse industries including telecommunications, healthcare, logistics, financial services, technology, and consulting.
Prior to Staples, he served as Vice President, Executive Recruitment and Talent Management and Vice President, Talent Acquisition at Tenet Healthcare, where he led executive hiring, talent management, and enterprise talent acquisition for a workforce exceeding 100,000 employees across hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide.
Earlier, Dussert held the position of Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition at XPO Logistics, overseeing worldwide recruitment operations for one of the largest transportation and logistics organizations globally. He also spent more than five years with Oracle as Vice President, Human Capital Transformation, advising many of the world’s largest organizations on HR transformation, workforce strategy, digital disruption, and the future of work.
His leadership experience additionally includes senior executive roles at American Express, where he led Global Recruitment Operations, Workforce Planning, and HR Shared Services; UBS, where he directed recruitment across multiple business functions; and talent technology organizations including Vurv Technology and The Newman Group, where he helped organizations leverage technology to enhance talent acquisition, internal mobility, and workforce effectiveness.
Throughout his career, Dussert has been recognized for driving recruitment transformation, improving talent acquisition effectiveness, building scalable hiring organizations, advancing workforce planning capabilities, and helping organizations align people strategies with long-term business objectives.
