Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 – Kedaara Capital has announced the appointment of Anand Kripalu as Operating Partner, strengthening its leadership bench with one of India’s most accomplished business leaders. In this role, Anand will work closely with Kedaara’s Consumer team, advising on both existing and new investments, and supporting value creation across portfolio companies.
Anand Kripalu brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across global consumer and FMCG organizations. Most recently, he served as Managing Director & Global CEO of EPL Limited (formerly Essel Propack Ltd), where he led the organization through post-COVID challenges, restoring profitable growth and expanding into new geographies.
Prior to EPL, he was Managing Director & CEO of Diageo India, and a member of Diageo’s Global Executive Team, where he played a pivotal role in transforming United Spirits into a high-performing and respected subsidiary.
Earlier, Anand held leadership roles at Mondelez International, where he served as President – India and Southeast Asia, and at Cadbury India as President Asia and Managing Director, delivering strong growth with nearly 25% CAGR in sales and profits over an extended period.
He began his career with Unilever, where he spent over two decades, including leading Unilever East Africa, successfully driving business turnaround and achieving profitable double-digit growth within a short span.
Beyond executive roles, Anand has also served as Chairman of Royal Challengers Bangalore (IPL franchise) and currently holds board positions as Independent Director and Chairperson at Swiggy and United Breweries (a Heineken company), as well as an Independent Director at Lupin Ltd, and continues as a Director at EPL.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics from IIT Madras and an MBA from IIM Kolkata, and has completed the Advanced Management Programme from The Wharton School. He is also a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from both IIT Madras and IIM Kolkata, and serves on the board of IIM Jammu.
