Cary, North Carolina, United States, May 2026 — Cornerstone Building Brands has announced the appointment of Michael Pulcanio as Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues advancing its people, culture, and growth priorities across North America.
Pulcanio brings extensive executive HR leadership experience across manufacturing, consumer goods, food production, distribution, and global operations, with a strong track record in organizational transformation, workforce planning, executive succession, talent strategy, and enterprise HR modernization.
Before joining Cornerstone Building Brands, Pulcanio served as Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Schwan’s Company, where he led enterprise-wide human capital strategy, executive succession planning, leadership development, organizational redesign, total rewards, talent acquisition, employee relations, internal communications, and HR business partnership functions. He also played a key role in CEO succession and onboarding initiatives, enterprise culture transformation, and structural optimization programs that generated significant operational savings.
Earlier at Schwan’s Company, he held the role of Senior Vice President Human Resources, supporting consumer brands, foodservice, manufacturing, logistics, marketing, R&D, and enterprise workforce planning initiatives while leading large HR teams and frontline transformation programs.
Prior to Schwan’s, Pulcanio spent nearly seven years with Tyson Foods, serving in multiple senior HR leadership positions including SVP Human Resources & HR Shared Services, VP Human Resources & HR Shared Services, and VP Human Resources & Talent Acquisition. During this tenure, he led global HR operations, shared services transformation, workforce analytics, talent acquisition, employee relations, executive onboarding, organizational efficiency initiatives, and large-scale HR technology transformation programs including Workday and Kronos implementation.
His earlier career also includes HR leadership roles with Hillshire Brands, Aon Corporation, and PepsiAmericas, where he supported manufacturing, supply chain, international compensation, labor relations, and organizational strategy functions. Before transitioning into HR leadership, Pulcanio practiced labor and employment law with Wessels & Sherman P.C. and Clausen Miller P.C.
