Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, June 2026 — Mathew Jacob has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rittal India Private Limited, marking a significant leadership milestone for the company as it continues to strengthen its position in industrial enclosures, power distribution, climate control, and IT infrastructure solutions.
A seasoned industry leader with more than three decades of experience, Mathew returns to lead Rittal India after serving nearly eight years as Vice President – Sales & Marketing. His appointment reflects a deep understanding of the organization, extensive industry expertise, and a proven track record of driving business growth, sales excellence, channel development, and market expansion across the electrical and automation sector.
Prior to assuming the CEO role, Mathew served as Vice President – Sales & Marketing at Rittal India, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s market presence, expanding customer relationships, and driving commercial growth. His leadership significantly contributed to the company’s business development and strategic positioning within India’s rapidly evolving industrial ecosystem.
Before rejoining Rittal India, Mathew held several senior leadership positions at Schneider Electric, including Director, General Manager, and Head of Geo & Distribution Sales – South India. During his tenure, he led channel and distribution sales, developed market expansion strategies, strengthened partner ecosystems, and drove business performance across key geographies.
Earlier, he spent more than twelve years with L&T Electrical & Automation, where he held leadership positions including Deputy General Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Branch Head, and Sales Engineer. During this period, he led business development initiatives, strategic planning projects, intellectual property programs, regional operations, and customer engagement strategies across multiple markets. He also served as Zonal Head for Business Development in Central India and played a key role in strengthening the company’s market reach.
Mathew began his professional journey with Standard Batteries, where he served as Sales Engineer and later Assistant Manager, managing industrial battery sales and service operations across Karnataka and Kerala. These early experiences provided him with a strong foundation in customer relationship management, industrial sales, and business operations.
An engineering graduate from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), Mathew has also completed postgraduate studies in Marketing Management from LIBA (Loyola Institute of Business Administration). In addition, he has participated in executive education programs at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Harvard, further strengthening his strategic leadership and business management capabilities.
With extensive experience across industrial automation, electrical systems, sales leadership, channel management, business strategy, and organizational transformation, Mathew is well positioned to lead Rittal India into its next phase of growth and innovation.
