Having served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Nishiwaki steps into the top leadership role with deep operational expertise and a strong understanding of Daikin’s global business, positioning him to drive the company’s next phase of innovation, customer focus, and sustainable growth.
With more than 25 years of leadership experience within the Daikin Group, Nishiwaki has built an extensive career spanning strategic planning, operations, international business management, and executive leadership. His broad global experience across North America, Europe, and Asia has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the HVAC industry and the evolving needs of customers across diverse markets.
Prior to his appointment as President & CEO, Nishiwaki served as Chief Operating Officer at Daikin Applied Americas, where he played a key role in strengthening operational performance, driving business execution, and supporting the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Before returning to the Americas, he was General Manager of Daikin Air Conditioning Italy’s Rome Office, leading business operations and market development across Italy.
Earlier in his career, Nishiwaki spent more than seven years as Vice President of Strategic Planning at Daikin Applied Americas, where he helped shape long-term business strategy and corporate growth initiatives. He also served as Vice President at McQuay International, contributing to the company’s global expansion before its integration into the Daikin Group, and began his North American leadership journey with Daikin US Corporation, where he held management responsibilities that laid the foundation for his long-standing international career.
As President & CEO, Nishiwaki will lead Daikin Applied Americas’ continued focus on delivering innovative HVAC technologies, energy-efficient solutions, digital transformation, and customer-centric services.
