Dublin, Ohio, United States, June 2026 – Cardinal Health has appointed Elinor Riggs as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions, bringing aboard a seasoned technology executive with nearly 25 years of experience leading digital transformation, enterprise technology strategy, data innovation, and large-scale business modernization initiatives across the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
In her new role, Riggs will be responsible for the technology and data strategy, commercial and supply chain technologies, and enterprise transformation initiatives supporting Cardinal Health’s Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions segment. She will lead innovation efforts across one of the world’s largest healthcare supply chains while driving technology investments, enterprise modernization, AI adoption, analytics, automation, cybersecurity, and digital transformation programs that enhance customer, provider, and patient outcomes.
Riggs joins Cardinal Health from Kenvue, where she served as Senior Vice President, Head of Technology, Enterprise Products, overseeing technology and data strategy across supply chain, procurement, quality, finance, human resources, legal, and enterprise functions. She was responsible for delivering scalable digital transformation initiatives and advancing enterprise-wide technology modernization efforts.
Prior to that, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Enterprise Programs at Kenvue, where she led strategic digital platform transformation programs, governance frameworks, and enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA-enabled modernization initiatives designed to simplify business processes and create a connected digital ecosystem.
Before joining Kenvue, Riggs spent more than five years with Johnson & Johnson, serving as Vice President, Supply Chain Business Technology Leader, where she led technology strategy and transformation initiatives across global distribution, logistics, transportation, warehousing, customer service, and supply chain operations. Her leadership contributed to the development of technology roadmaps and innovation programs supporting one of the world’s most complex healthcare supply chains.
Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade with Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, holding several leadership positions including Senior Director, Information Technology – Janssen China R&D, Senior Director, Information Technology – Janssen Supply Chain, and Director, Information Technology – CNS & Janssen Healthcare Innovation. During this period, she led technology programs supporting pharmaceutical research and development, supply chain quality systems, business intelligence, data analytics, digital health innovation, and patient-focused healthcare solutions.
Her professional journey also includes experience with MicroStrategy, where she worked as a Sales Consultant, helping organizations leverage analytics and business intelligence technologies to improve decision-making and business performance.
Over the course of her career, Riggs has developed deep expertise across enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, supply chain technology, SAP modernization, healthcare technology, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, business innovation, cybersecurity, and organizational transformation.
Her appointment comes at a time when healthcare organizations are accelerating investments in digital capabilities, data-driven decision-making, AI-powered operations, and supply chain modernization to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
