Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has promoted Atul Bhavsar to the role of General Manager – Regulatory Affairs. In his expanded leadership position, he will continue to strengthen the company’s global regulatory strategy, overseeing regulatory affairs initiatives that support Glenmark’s expanding portfolio across international markets.
With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Atul Bhavsar has built a distinguished career in global regulatory affairs, specializing in regulatory submissions, compliance, and lifecycle management across major international markets, including the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Atul has been associated with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals for nearly 13 years, steadily advancing within the organization. Since joining the company in 2013, he has played a key role in managing complex global regulatory programs, contributing to successful product registrations and ensuring compliance with evolving international regulatory standards. His promotion to General Manager – Regulatory Affairs reflects his long-standing contribution to strengthening Glenmark’s regulatory capabilities and supporting the company’s global growth ambitions.
Prior to joining Glenmark, Atul served as Manager – Regulatory Affairs at Sandoz Pvt Ltd, where he managed regulatory submissions across the US, European Union, Canada, and other major international markets. Earlier, he worked as Assistant Manager – Regulatory Affairs at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, leading European regulatory submissions, including Decentralized Procedure (DCP), Mutual Recognition Procedure (MRP), national applications, and variations. He began his regulatory career at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd as a Regulatory Affairs Scientist, where he was responsible for compiling and reviewing Common Technical Documents (CTDs) for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. His early professional experience also includes a role at Cipla, providing him with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical operations and regulatory compliance.
In his new role, Atul will continue to lead regulatory affairs initiatives that support Glenmark’s global product pipeline, strengthen regulatory compliance, and facilitate timely approvals across international markets while contributing to the company’s continued innovation and global expansion.
